Love this one, too. How did you get your camera going quickly enough to take this? That car in front is the same color as my little car. Looks lovely when it's clean!
The chickens are running back into their yard. So close to the town, it's uncanny. They often wander across the road to a small piece of land to peck in the soil and I'd heard that for some reason pictures of dogs tied up outside polling stations go down very well. No one appeared with a dog but the chickens appeared out of the blue. I confess that I did set this up a little bit because having been out they were happy to stay out. So with a lady who knew their owner, we banged on his window to get his notice and he came out with a pan of corn and strewed it around a bit. The chicken actually started running when a car was coming down the road and that's when I got my shot; I had it set for multiple shots. I confess the caption was suggested to me (ta x) but it appealed to my editor. Another one I took, which to my mind told the whole story, of the winner and losers of the election, he added his own comments to but left my initials in so I had to go around apologising to people in case they thought it was I who had written it. I'll pull the pic up for you to see! Don't think I'll replicate what he wrote though!
The usual - ramblings of someone who can't find anything better to do at the time! Former P. A., freelance photojournalist (untrained, just got lucky) on small town paper whose work dried up. Now retired and busy every day.

How strange is that? First it wasn't there and now it is!

Surreal! I could have sworn there was a photo of you there a few minutes ago!
Sorry, the picture of me is to-ing and fro-ing a little. It's back but I can remove for the more squeamish!
