About Me

The usual - ramblings of someone who can't find anything better to do at the time! Former P. A., freelance photojournalist (untrained, just got lucky) on small town paper whose work dried up. Now retired and busy every day.

Sheesh!! That guy with the cudgel looks like he means to go after somebody any second. Not the photographer, I hope??
Nice looking lot, all told.
Jodie the guy with the mace is Jim Dixon, the Mayor's Sergeant. He has to accompany her (or a him if that's the case, our Mayor changes annually) when she's wearing the gold chain.
I suppose he could use it to ward off would-be thieves!
We've got a charter signed by Queen Elizabeth Ist. Hmmm, I have a pic in archives somewhere!
Gurgal - the dark gentleman is our Deputy Mayor, Fabian Coonghe - he was Mayor last year. He is from Sri Lanka and raised a relief fund in his Mayoral year for the Tsunami Disaster.
