Shoved the camera into a bystander's hands this morning while I was wating for the Civic Parade through the town. The 'Civics' were bedecked in 'posh' and chains and grinned broadly seeing me in what looks like my jammies! I was dressed for the weather, which was brill! Posted by Hello

Whoooo, Pyk! You're stylin'! You look wonderful, and I'll bet you feel great, too. I think you're ready to go on that book-signing tour. All you need is the book!

Thanks, y'all!!
Raspberries to the book signing tour, pj ... I'll go on tour just for the sheer hell of it!
Che, you're a cheeky boy! But I like ya!
Jodie, I've lost about 30 lbs over the last - hmm, year, I suppose! That's not bad, come to think of it! Especially when you see what I eat. If I think about dieting I put weight on. So I've stopped thinking about it!

Don't be jealous, this is probably the yo-yo effect and I'll be up again once winter comes and I get stuck into thickly buttered pikelets!

Jimjams look fine to me, but then I've always gone for a girl who looked ready for bed! t'other pillock deserved all he got.

'Bystander' takes a good photo - you'll have to watch out for the competition!! But then you don't always get such a good subject, do you.

OK, Pikelet, to put it to rest ... also known as a crumpet (as in a tasty piece of crumpet!).
It's a flour water yeast mixture of a batter consistency which is poured into metal rings on a griddle and cooked for a few mins until the bottom is brown, the top is solid and holes have appeared all over the surface.
They are toasted and slathered with butter so it runs down the holes and when you bite into them the butter runs down your fingers and chin!

Si - they aren't REALLY my jimjams! Though I do have some purdy jimjams - maybe I'll catch another bystander walking up church street when I'm wearing 'em?? But thank you and thank you. No fear of competition from the photographer .. he didn't do a zoom and I had to crop to save me looking like a matchstick on the Shambles!

No, I didn't REALLY think they were. Catch me going past on me bike & I'll take one of the real thing for you. I suspected you must have had a hand in the final framing of the photo. I promise to get close enough not need zoom or cropping. I'll have to kneel down though, otherwise the angle will make it look like one of your famous choir shots.

SM - if you knelt down before me you would very likely be just about my height!
Sometimes people don't think of taking up a position other than just standing for a piccie. It first occurred to me to squat, lie on the floor, climb, etc after seeing a photo my son took when he was about 6. It was great and it occured to me it was because he was so much shorter (even than me at the time) and had a different angle on the subject.
The link to Daily Dancer, here, is a guy who performs a different dance every day. Maybe I should start a daily pyk pic by shoving the camera in someone's hands and saying 'shoot me'and seeing what results we get!!
