By hook or by crook I'll get this picture posted!!! Obviously there was a glitch with inserting the photo in the post .. technology is wonderful when it works. The artist, one Mr Chapman, apparently dashes these off in 10 minutes. Wouldn't it be lovely to have that talent and ability? No, it's not the Blackpool Tower!!

Of course it isn't Blackpool! It's Louth Town Hall innit?
Whatever it's a picture of, it's beautiful!
First of all I have to apologise to Mr John Patrick ... where I got Chapman from I've NOOOOO idea! Apparently he was 'forced' into displaying in this exhibition because he doesn't 'reckon' his work much. I do, very much. I had decided to give both pictures as gifts and I particularly like the Eiffel Tower one and was telling the lady who staged the exhibition this today. Apparently someone came in after me and wanted one of those which I'd bought (the other one!) and was sorely disappointed that I'd got in first so the artist was asked if he'd paint two more for her. Thus persuaded I asked today if he'll PLEASEEEEEE do me another copy of the Eiffel Tower . yayyyyyyyy. It'll still be an 'original' too. I mean, for £15, framed .... Only problem I have is where to put it. I know it seems crass but I do like 'em to match the decor! The bathroom's going to be tiled and a shower fitted so it may be a good opportunity to make the room match the picture instead of the other way around!
OHHHHHHHHH, I saw a wonderful picture i another exhibition today. It was £98 ... I have paid that sort of price for 2 or 3 that I have .... Oh bums. Maybe I'll make a call tomorrow. It's a 'white study'. I took a piccie of it ... I'll perhaps put it up here. I really really REALLY did like it :)
ARGH! He's torn up the original and wants the pressie copy back to copy. Hmmmm, I wonder if he's got any other 'originals' I might fancy?
