Potty about Potter?
I was asked by my editor for a Harry Potter picture for illustration to coincide with the release of the new book. J K Rowling official website
Couldn't be fagged to go to the local shop and queue from midnight so concocted a little something at home. Borrowed the books from the kiddies next door, got my Angel Cards out ... the card with the horse denoting 'Victory' just flew into my hand ... taps side of nose ... thank you, Angels ... and lit a few candles. I rather like this pic. Was praying I didn't set fire to anything, didn't think the insurance company would stand another claim from me so soon!!

Looks good, Pyk! I guess the important things is--did your editor like it? I'm not sure if I'm crazy enough about anything that I would stand in line at midnight for a book or a ticket or whatever. I do know several people, however, who went to the midnight show of the latest "Star Wars" movie--including my oldest daughter and her son! I think she was given the tickets. When she was in high school, she had a boyfriend who looked a lot like Luke Skywalker. That was about the time the first movie came out.

Actually, I was reading a book the other day and did my 'read the last page' trick. I don't think I do it because I can't stand the suspense, I think it's when I'm starting to tire of the story and don't feel the remaining 200 pages are worth plodding through. The good thing is I get to start a new book!
What an interesting site you have there wildcat9two ! I was trying to figure out what a cankle is ... concluded a thick calf and ankle ... gee, doesn't take me long to catch on, does it????? :)
The picture got use PJ so it must have been acceptable, though they put writing all over it, grrrr.
What pleased me more was the opinion of a fellow photographer who said it was great piccie, well put together. "Oh, just a few things I threw together." Well, it was, in effect. But it was like being complimented on a great meal! Very satisfying.

Weird how the Potter book covers are different for you guys than they are for us.
I haven't read any of them, but Kiddo had the first 3 1/2 read to her by my BF. They didn't make it through the 4th ....it got too boring. But she sure does love the movies.
I understand from a neighbour that there are both adult and children's versions. Not sure what the difference is.
