The usual - ramblings of someone who can't find anything better to do at the time! Former P. A., freelance photojournalist (untrained, just got lucky) on small town paper whose work dried up. Now retired and busy every day.

Oh, what a gorgeous view you had. I'd love to be able to do something like that without getting airsick, but know from experience it ain't gonna happen. It does look like great fun.
Jodie, I've flown in a light aircraft and felt the tummy turning/churning but to be honest, the gliding was ultra smooth. It was a slow, gentle, measured spiral (not steep!) descent and no churning tum at all. It was also amazingly quiet up there.
In an aircraft with engine there's the ever present hum but in the glider the pilot and I were able to speak in normal voices. 'Cept of course mine was a bit squeaky with excitement!
