Does glass superglue?

I don't remember plonking anything on my refrigertor bottom shelf with sufficient vigour to break it. But dang me, it's broke! (n) just one chunk out of it. I thought I'd buy a new piece of glass but it's occured to me that it may superglue?

What you think??

OK, I superglued it .. forgot how quickly the glue sets though (at least I remembered not to stick my fingers in it!) and it's a bit wonky but holding.
OK, confession, I had two bottles of wine on that glass shelf, I probably 'clonked' the shelf with one of them.
Note to Julie, don't smack glass bottles on glass shelves!

People who drink from glass bottles shouldn't drink Stone's. Try Merrydown instead.
