Yeuk, Spider

HUGE great spider in the bath ..... it must have been at least 3" across. Time of year to start putting t' plug in t'bath'ole methinks!
Just realised I haven't eaten today ... I've defrosted a steak and will break open a bottle of red.
I've been captioning, periodically, inbetween a visit from a girlfriend and a few of phone calls. Realised also that I've left it rather late to draw up my monthly invoice. Bad Julie.
I DID however, get my bike around to the Bike Doctor and should be able to collect it tomorrow. I freewheeled all the way down Church Street, the penance was having to pedal up Newgate hill (if that's what it's called). It wasn't much exercise. I'll have to go for a swim tomorrow.
I also made chutney today! Pink (cos the toms weren't yet red) and green. The pink tastes better but thre's more of the green. I've already given two pots away.
Anyone want chutney???
Ok, dinner ..........

You have encouraged me to get my bike out of the shed and dust it off but I haven't been out anywhere on it yet. I haven't got a lot of spare time but I am going to try to make some. I had a little computer for it but I can't find it anywhere. The computer told me the number of miles, speed and the time. I am deciding whether I need to buy another one.

Having the computer could encourage you, every day in every way I will ride further longer harder ...
Hey ... that could be adaptable to other situations, wink, wink, nod nod, know what I mean??

I'm glad you're inspired. I've got a pedometer I've never used ... could you adapt it? I'll willingly mail .. unless you can wait til next April/May when I'll be passing thro on my way to Alaska???

I could always use one of the GPS systems and either would give me more information than the bike computer. ( I have one for the car and one for walking) It is just that the bike has a holder for the little computer and it is all wired up for it. I dislike losing stuff that's all. Losing the computer isn't a good enough excuse - I will have to get on my bike. :-)

You are going to Alaska? Is that for a holiday or is it work? I think you have mentioned Alaska before but I can't remember what you said.

Just think, where would you put something safe???? Ok, now go look in the icebox!

My daughter, Victoria, lives in Palmer, Alaska. She emigrated a year ago April, living with her American husband, Danny. Though I lived in Tx for 5 years and visited a few states, Alaska as eluded me thus far. Tor and Danny were settling in to new jobs and have recently bought a new home so I'm up up and away to visit in the springtime. Tor posts on here occasionally after reading my antics ... the latest was telling me to buy a helmet. Oops, I knew there was something I meant to ask Bike Doctor today!

A: I've no idea! Maybe it's quicker/easier/and she didn't have to set up an account to get a name. I mean you did and have had 16 hits on your profile and there's nothing there!!!
Anyway, I know it's her cos she puts x's! And calls me mum and gives me sensible advice! I think we should be a double act!

Chutney is a preserve .. it should keep til it goes furry on the top = I suppose even then you could scoop the furry bit off.

I suppose I could bubble wrap a jar and mail it to you. Mind you, it wouldn't go in your post box and then you'd have to go find the post office to collect it!!

Did you find the tobacconist yet?

OK, this is Other.

Mum, a glass of red sounds great, me too.

Then I am off to read the instructions for putting our new telescope together. If we are going to have this much darkness we may as well make the most of it!

Love you.

Telescope, wow, sounds great. You going to put it right at the top??? I could do with a few rays from your 'happy lamp' today ... I'll blog it alongside 'full length' ... sigh. Sometimes things are sent to try us.
But you were sent to be the light of my life :) love you lots xxx
